Says HTMI’s Mr. Anthony Lack: The Centre for Events Management Training is very proud to announce that the HTMi London 2012 Olympian Team, accompanied by HTMi’s Anthony Lack have arrived safely in London to get ready for the start of this mega event, the 2012 London Olympics on Wednesday, 13th June 2012. The team in total numbers 10 students and graduates, supported by our media and events team.

On Thursday, 14th June 2012 the team arriving from Switzerland was joined by some  of the existing team of HTMi graduates who all enjoyed a few hours of travelling on the Original London Sightseeing Tour where they had the opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of London. namely, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Kensington Palace Gardens and Trafalgar Square, which is home to the official OMEGA Countdown Clock, timekeeper for the London 2012 Games.

A special treat was a visit to the London Olympic stadium in London's Stratford district in the Lower Lea Valley where we all had the fantastic opportunity to see the Olympic stadium and village first hand. Another great viewing of the London Olympic stadium was inside the Westfield Stratford City Shopping Centre. On the third floor of the John Lewis Department Store, the entire stadium and village can be viewed from an enormous glass window showing the site in all its glory.

On Monday, 18th June 2012 the students started their first day of work at the London Olympics Organising Committee Headquarters in Canary Wharf as well as the Famous five-star boutique hotel Dukes Hotel in Chelsea.

HTMi wishes the HTMi students and graduates all the very best of luck for this great opportunity they have.

Our events and media team led by Anthony Lack will be back in London in a few weeks and will meet and conduct interviews with the London Organising Committee as well as with top management of some leading hotels in London.
