
HTMi has made the following appointments to further strengthen the International Hospitality Research Centre Switzerland at HTMi, and also to further strengthen the academic administration at HTMi .
We are delighted to announce the following appointments:
Professor Emeritus Russell Rimmer, is appointed as Professor of Research Development at HTMi.
Professor Rimmer has over 30 years experience in research and education leadership Previously he has held the following positions :
Emeritus Professor School of Social Sciences, Arts and Management, Queen Margaret University; Acting Dean, School of Business, Enterprise and Management, Queen Margaret University ;Associate Dean for Learning and Teaching, School of Business, Enterprise and Management, Queen Margaret University; Professor of Strategic Human Resource Management, Queen Margaret University; Member, Higher Education Institutional Research Network, UK; Head of Division of Strategic and Human Resource Management, University of Paisley; Director, Executive MBA, University of Paisley; Professor of Strategic and Human Resource Management, University of Paisley; Reader School of Computing and Mathematics, Deakin University.
Professor Rimmer has his name in more than 90 book and journal article publications . We welcome and congratulate Prof Rimmer to his new role, where he will help strengthen HTMi’s role in research publication, quality, and conference development.
Dr Ross Tinsley, is appointed as Head of Research at HTMi Campus.
Dr Tinsley completed his PhD in 2004 at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, with the PhD focus: Networking between tourism businesses and its contribution to destination development (two separate studies: Scotland, India). He has been involved in the publication of more than 15 journal article and conference papers, and has been involved a lot in the development of the International Hospitality Research Centre Switzerland, the related student research journals, and teaching and tutoring research at HTMi. Dr Tinsley is a reviewer of the Journal of Sustainable Tourism and the World Journal of Business Management. Dr Tinsley will work closely with Professor Rimmer to continue to develop the quality of the International Hospitality Research Centre Switzerland at HTMi, the support given to students and teachers in research development and publication, including the preparation of the bi-annual International Hospitality and Tourism Conference Switzerland and the publication of the student journals. Dr Tinsley is also appointed as the editor of the International Hospitality Student Research Journal, published quarterly by HTMi.
Carrie Ann Bruehlmann is appointed as Assistant to the Dean at HTMi
Ms Bruehlmann has many years experience in education and academic administration, and holds a Master of Education, Cross-Cultural Teaching from National University, San Diego, California. In this new role she will continue to lecture various subjects at HTMi and assist the Academic Dean at HTMi with various academic administration and planning. Ms Bruehlmann will also assist Dr Tinsley by becoming the editor of the Contemporary Issue in Hospitality Student Journal, published quarterly by HTMi.
