HTMi launched the first International Gala Event at HTMi more than 10 years ago, being the first Hotel Management Institute in Switzerland to do this every semester. So once again congratulations to the entire student and staff teams for hosting this very special event on Friday, 21st May 2010 at HTMi. The evening was a great success and guests from all over the world came to enjoy an international fusion of delicious food prepared by our excellent HTMi students. The entertainment was first class and everyone experienced a high quality leading International Gala Evening.

The guests included many of HTMi's friends from Switzerland and from around the world. In addition it was an honour to welcome numerous Ambassadors, members of the Diplomatic Corps and Government Representatives in Switzerland from China, South Africa, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, Turkey and Indonesia. The star guests were Mr. and Mrs. Robert & Lynette Federer the parents of the number 1 ranked tennis player in the world, Roger Federer (who unfortunately couldn?t attend due to his tennis commitments in Paris), who were warmly welcomed by everyone and who together with HTMi supported the Roger Federer Foundation charity.

Following the event Mr and Mrs Federer wrote :
"First of all we would like to thank you most sincerely for the entertaining evening last night in Sorenberg. Congratulations to you and your team and of course a special congratulations to the students. They indeed did an excellent job and you can all be very proud of them.We wish to express our sincerest thanks to HTMi for considering the Roger Federer Foundation. We are grateful and happy to help in the poorest countries of Africa to enable children education.
