Hi! My name is Márton Laposa, I am from Hungary and I have been here at HTMi for nearly 3 years. When I first came I did not really know what hospitality was all about. Then I began my studies from the Certificate level, which made me fully understand the world of hospitality right from the basics! After the first semester I just fell in love with this school and industry and I was sure that I would complete my studies here at BSc Degree level. I like to be here in this international environment, and I like the fact that the school prepares us for the “real world”. The school gave me the great opportunity to participate in the Train the Trainer program, where I could challenge myself on how to lead and guide other students. Through this experience I have learnt a lot and influenced me to take a new attitude in my following work placements. By studying in this school I had the prestigious opportunity to do my internship in a 5 star hotel chain (in Zürich Hotel Renaissance). I worked there for one year in two different departments, Front Office and Food & Beverage, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Thanks to HTMi placing me there I was able to see the 5 star standards in a hotel operation. Right now I am studying for my Higher Diploma course and once I have accomplished this I look to do another internship – hopefully in the United States. Looking into the future, I see myself with the experience from both Europe and America, and with this plus my degree I would like to work in Asia.

I think that by completing my studies at HTMi, it will help me with my future career and will leave me with many good memories and long lasting friendships. Best Wishes
