Hello! My name is Regina. I come from Taiwan. This is my
second semester in HTMi, studying the MBA course. Many people
asked me why I still chose the same course to study, well, I only have one
answer, which is “Because I love cooking and enjoy the life in HTMi!”
Actually I was a little worried in the beginning of last
semester. I didn’t know anything about European cooking methods when I came
here. However, after two weeks, I felt so comfortable and easy with my course.
Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. HTMi is just like my home abroad. I
met a lot of people from different nationalities, and we learnt each other’s
cultures and became friends. I had so many lovely memories with my dear
roommates and friends here.
In the Culinary Course, I have learnt about European cuisine
and kitchen management from Chef Sutter and Bachmann. They broaden my knowledge
and views, and let me fall in love with cooking, deeper and deeper. They also
teach me how to lead and manage people. I am heartily grateful to them. I know
everything I obtained from HTMi will be very useful for my future job—working
in the kitchen. I became much tougher and stronger since I came here. Although
my dream job is to be Pastry Chef, I found a lot of fun and interests in
cooking as well. Thus, I believe I can be an all-round cook in the near future!
I cannot wait to apply all skills I learnt in HTMi in my workplace.
Eventually, I would love to thank all my friends and
instructors in HTMi. Because of your encouragement and assistance, I grew up a
lot and I can confidently say that I will never regret choosing HTMi for
study!!
