The Journey

Everything has to start in your life from somewhere, but sometimes you know and sometimes you don’t and that what I call “The Journey”. 

Year 2003 I made my journey to HTMi and how the time flew from that time till now I don’t really realize about that . The best 3 years of my life . From class to class then to practical , snowball fighting and lot of other fun and of course the beautiful people there have made me a perfect person to be in the people business what we call hospitality business.

Presently my destination from last two and a half year is in The Grand Hyatt Dubai . They call it the tag ship of Hyatt Hotels. It has 674 rooms and more then 140 apartments and 64 different nationalities of employees which already gives the hotel a grand impression.

I started my career with Hyatt after finishing my Higher Diploma Graduation. Started in Food and Beverage and after a year of operational work, I got promoted as Event Sales Executive . The experience so far with the company has been extremely great when it comes to working environment and the people I work with. Infect in short words I must say “Real hospitality lies here.”

Coming back to Events, what I should say is, impossible is nothing, daily challenges and resolving all the challenges are the best way to learn and that’s what I have got over here. Basically my job is related as a sales executive for catering, meeting and conference planning , wedding planning and the most important and exciting part is group handling, which includes leisure & incentive both kind of groups. I have gained a lot of courage, leadership skills and confidence while working with Hyatt and I am sure people around me do also feel the same , as we say we are in Hyatt Family. I am now working as the Asst. Conference & Catering Services Manager at The Address Dubai Marina.

On the contrary I would like to thank HTMi to make me feel proud of myself and waiting to see more entrepreneurs from the school who also can join the global hospitality industry to make their career successful and to be a proud student of HTMi .
