FIFA World Cup 2010 - International Placements
Congratulations to the HTMi Centre For Career Management for confirming that a group of HTMi students
will travel to South Africa to work in Southern Sun Hotel Group, and Peermont Hotels and Resorts. during
the FIFA world cup. This has happened after several visits to South Africa by HTMi Management and with
the full support of the South African Government. We would especially like to thank, for their support
Ambassador George Johannes and Mr. Solly Tshivhula from the South African Embassy in Switzerland,
and Mr Anthony Lack, Events and Training Manager at HTMi.
At the HTMi Graduation and Awards Ceremony held at the Park Hyatt Zurich on 8th January 2010, his
Excellency Ambassador George Johannes, delivered a speech welcoming the Group of HTMi students from
Romania, China, Hungary, Taiwan, Mauritius, Russia, Hong Kong, UK and Malaysia to South Africa and
very positively commending HTMi on this initiative which has the full support of the South African Government.
Mr Johannes also opened the door for more cooperation between HTMi and South Africa in future.
